Prayosha Hospital Pvt Ltd. Last updated 28 October 2026.
This policy explains what personal data Prayosha Hospital collects through this website and online booking, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and the rights you have. It is written for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.
Who we are
Prayosha Hospital Pvt Ltd (“Prayosha Hospital”, “we”, “us”), Shree Rangkrupa Building, PWD Road, Opp. Father Agnelo School, Silvassa 396230, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, India. We decide how your personal data is used, so under the law we are the data fiduciary. Phone: +91 93274 97871 or (0260) 264 2709; email: sunildatt96@gmail.com.
This policy covers this website and online booking. The care you receive at the hospital, and your medical records, are also protected by medical confidentiality and the rules for medical records.
What we collect
When you book an appointment
The booking form asks for the details our front desk uses to register a patient. It currently asks for:
- the patient’s title, first and last name, gender and date of birth
- a contact number, and optionally a WhatsApp number and email address
- postal code
- optionally, the reason for the visit, in your own words
With these we keep the appointment itself: the doctor, date, time, booking reference and token number. The reason for a visit, and the fact that someone is seeing a gynaecologist, paediatrician or allergy specialist, is information about health. We treat it as sensitive personal data.
When you contact us
If you call, message us on WhatsApp or write to us, we keep what you tell us for as long as we need it to help you.
When you visit the website
Like every website, ours receives technical data from your browser: IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested. Our hosting provider uses it to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.
Why we use it
- to book, confirm, change or cancel your appointment, and to register the patient at the hospital
- to send you appointment confirmations, reminders and updates (see below)
- to contact you about your appointment, for example if a doctor is called to an emergency
- to prepare for your visit and provide care
- to keep the records the law requires us to keep
- to keep this website secure and working
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your booking details for advertising.
Confirmations by SMS, WhatsApp and email
When you book, we send a confirmation with your booking reference to the contact number by SMS, to the WhatsApp number on WhatsApp, and to the email address if you gave one. We may also send reminders and messages about changes to that appointment. These are service messages about your appointment, not marketing.
WhatsApp messages are delivered through WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta; WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy apply to your use of WhatsApp. If you do not want messages on WhatsApp or by email, leave those fields empty or tell us, and we will contact you by SMS or phone only.
Your consent
By booking, you consent to us using the details you enter for the purposes above. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect what was done before, and we may then be unable to keep an online booking. Some uses do not depend on consent, as the law allows: responding to a medical emergency, and keeping records we are legally required to keep.
If you book for someone else, such as a parent or spouse, please make sure they agree to you sharing their details with us.
Children
Much of our care is for babies and children. A booking for a child under 18 must be made by a parent or lawful guardian, who gives consent on the child’s behalf. We use children’s data only to provide their care. We do not track or profile children, and we do not show them advertising.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only as needed for the purposes above:
- OneMed, the hospital management and online booking system that stores bookings and patient registrations for us
- messaging providers that deliver our SMS, WhatsApp and email messages, including Meta for WhatsApp
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes technical data to deliver and protect it
- doctors and staff involved in your care, including visiting consultants you are booked with
- authorities, when the law requires it or to protect someone’s life or safety
Our service providers process data on our instructions and must keep it confidential and secure. Some of them may process data outside India; we share data abroad only as Indian law permits.
The map in the “Visit us” section is provided by Google Maps and loads when you scroll to it. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set cookies under Google’s privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Details of patients who visit the hospital become part of the medical record and are kept for as long as the laws and professional rules on medical records require. Booking details that do not lead to a visit are deleted or anonymised once they are no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep them. Technical data is kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security.
How we protect it
The website and booking form use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to patient data is limited to the people who need it to arrange or provide care, and our providers are bound to protect it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it, and who we have shared it with
- correct, complete or update it
- erase it, unless we must keep it by law (medical records, for example)
- stop using it, by withdrawing your consent
- let someone you nominate exercise these rights if you die or are unable to
To use a right, contact us (details below). We may need to confirm your identity first. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics, advertising or social media trackers. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people from automated attacks. The Google map may set Google cookies once it loads, as described above.
